Season 4 was split into two parts, with the first part hitting streaming platforms.

A previous episode saw Joe kill Love (Victoria Pedretti) and go to France after Marienne (Tati Gabrielle).

The new episodes therefore bring a new framework and personality to Joe, who now goes by Jonathan Moore, and perhaps this decision has saved the show from becoming “more of the same”.

Gossip Girl spoiler in this review Dan was outed at the end of the series as “the blog girl,” the person who loved to expose the sordid details of Manhattan’s elite.

Now in an even darker form.

History is repeating itself.

In You, Badgley and his character Joe had the opportunity to become other people in London, assuming the identity of Jonathan Moore, an American professor with an enviable academic background and permission to work in the city.

As a result, the character ends up with a group of friends who are full of wealth, but also very bad-tempered and illegal.

Joe has always been a killer who believed he was doing the right thing even when everything was in chaos, and now it's no different.

Death follows you

The new season of You presents a different premise than previous seasons.

The story doesn't begin with Joe falling in love with a new woman and letting Marienne escape after finding her to prove she wasn't the killer.

The difference is that Joe is now out of control, as the serial killer is on his way, showing that he is obsessed with the villains and the main characters of the plot.

Even Joe's thoughts now belong to Jonathan.

I was more controlled.

But willpower alone is not enough to leave the past behind.

The character's stalker spirit is still alive and somewhat reminiscent of the first season, especially when he takes a good look at his neighbor Kate (Charlotte Ritchie) every day who doesn't seem to have a stall at home.

Joe also verifies the identity of everyone around him.

But everything goes wrong when Joe's nouveau riche friends start to be murdered one by one, and he becomes the main suspect, after all he doesn't have much money, and the serial killer's goal is to exterminate the rich.

However, the first death already signaled that a new killer is trying to frame the protagonist for the crime.

At the end of the first part of season 4, the now Jonathan discovers that he is more worried than ever about his stalker, who has already shown potential to be like Love: worse than Joe.

The fourth season of “You” essentially brought some freshness to the production Even if the twist doesn’t make sense.

In the first part, the series plays with the “whodunit” genre, whose mission is to make the viewer discover who is to blame for what is happening.

Joe joked that he lived his life in the weakest literary form.

What to expect from Part 2?

Now that the stalker has been discovered, Joe will have to put an end to him once and for all, as not only his life is at stake, but also his reputation in London.

If your new opponent reveals who Jonathan really is, you will have to escape once again, but this time it will be even more difficult to escape.

Marienne's fate cannot remain as it ended in the first part of season 4, after all, it makes no sense for Joe to simply let his beloved escape to prove a point.

Now that Joe's killer instincts have been reactivated, he feels he has no room for prevarication anymore.
